Vicki Keith

Vicki Keith (born 1959) is a Canadian marathon swimmer and is one of the greatest marathon swimmers of all time.

She currently holds an unprecedented fourteen world records and over 41 awards, having crossed many of the world's most challenging bodies of water.

Her swims have generated more than $800,000 for Variety Club Children's charity projects worldwide. Retired from marathon swimming in 1991, she continues to raise awareness and funds for the Variety Club and makes public appearances as a motivational speaker.

Some of her swimming world records include:

  • crossing all five of the Great Lakes in a 2 month period
  • the fastest double crossing of Lake Ontario
  • 129 hours 45 minutes continuous swimming
  • fasted crossing of Sidney Harbour
  • fasted crossing of the Juan de Fuca Straight in British Columbia
  • greatest distance butterfly swim for crossing the English Channel
  • greatest distance in 24 hours (69.31 km or 43.067 miles)
