Mobile Suit Victory Gundam

(Redirected from Victory Gundam)

Mobile Suit Victory Gundam (also known as V Gundam) is an anime television show set in the fictional universe of Gundam, consisting of fifty-one episodes and directed by Gundam creator Tomino Yoshiyuki. Set in UC 0153, well after the events of the Earth Federation versus Principality of Zeon conflict (more or less ending with Char's Counterattack), as well as after the Federation and Crossbone Vanguard conflict of Gundam F-91, the greatly weakened Earth Federation comes under attack by the spaceborn Zanscare Empire. Only the AEUG-like League Militaire stands in their way, and their secret weapon is the mass-produced Victory Gundam.

The series is notable for having the youngest protagonist of any Gundam anime (the thirteen year old Uso Evin ), the high casualty rate of the League Militaire (especially the Shrike Team), and for being the longest single Gundam television show until SD Gundam Force came along. It is also the first of four Gundam TV series that aired in Japan one after another from 1993 to the end of 1996.

Preceded by: Mobile Suit Gundam F91

Followed by: (in production order) Mobile Fighter G-Gundam (in universe) G-Saviour
