Waheed Alli, Baron Alli

Waheed Alli, Baron Alli (born November 16, 1964) is a businessman and politician in the United Kingdom. He achieved prominence in the television industry, and was a director of Planet 24 and Carlton Television. He was made a life peer in 1998, and sit on the Labour benches in the House of Lords. He is the first openly gay member of the Lords.
