Winmalee

Winmalee is a town in the lower Blue Mountains, Australia. This interesting settlement is situated adjacent to the settlement of Springwood. It is situated on the door step to the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park. It is surrounded by rugged and beautiful bushland interspersed by ruggged cliff lines magnificient views and interesting bushwalks. In this respect it is the hidden gem of the Blue Mountains. It has an ancient settlement pattern with the Daruk aboriginal tribe dating back 20,000 years and lastest figures place this at 50,000 years(Stocton) One most interesting place is Summerhayse Park which contains a wealth of flora and fauna including rare & threatened plant communities.
