Wyre Forest is a local government district in Worcestershire, England. Its council is based in Kidderminster. Other places include Stourport-on-Severn and Bewdley.
Wyre Forest takes its name from a forest of the same name, despite the fact that much of this woodland does not lie within the district's boundaries, but rather in Shropshire. The forest covers an area of around 6000 acres (24 km²), and is noted for its variety of wildlife. Around two thirds of the forest has been designated as SSSI, while a further fifth is listed as a National Nature Reserve.
The Wyre Forest parliamentary constituency, which covers most of the district, is represented by the Independent Kidderminster Hospital and Health Concern MP Dr Richard Taylor. His party was also at one time the largest on the district council, but lost several seats in the 2004 local elections.
