XERB are the call letters of a border-blaster radio station licensed to the Tijuana / Rosarito area of Baja California, Mexico. It is the station that was made famous by Wolfman Jack in the George Lucas movie American Graffiti.
After Wolfman Jack left XERF he moved to XERB. Although the movie American Graffiti shows him broadcasting live from California, the Brinkley Act made this impossible. Artistic license was taken with the subject material for the sake of the script.
The call letters XERB have since been assigned to a repeater station for Sol Esotero in Cozumel. [1]
