Xeni Jardin, pronounced SHEH-nee zhar-DAN (born c. 1973 in Richmond, Virginia, USA), is a weblogger and journalist. She is co-editor of the collaborative weblog Boing Boing, contributor to Wired magazine, and correspondent for the National Public Radio show Day to Day.
"Xeni Jardin" is not her given name; "Xeni" comes from the Guatemalan word Xeniflores , and jardin is the Spanish and French word for "garden."
According to a 2005 Los Angeles Times profile, Jardin does not reveal her given name in order to avoid dangerous individuals from her past.
