Zikhron Ya'aqov (זכרון יעקב; unofficially also spelled Zichron Yaakov) is a city in Israel, near Haifa, part of the Haifa District.
It was founded in 1882 in memory of James Jacob de Rothschild .
Attractions include the Aaronson House and Museum, and Rothschild's Tomb.
Zikhron's population is a rapidly expanding 16,000.
